Welcome to
Amor y Alquimia
A threshold to deep presence, exploration, discovery, magia & true expression...
My name is Adriana Michelle, but some of you may know me as The Death Alchemist
over on Instagram where I enjoy curating our collective understandings of the many faces of humanity. As a death doula, worker, walker (we have many names), I love reimagining our dealings with both life and death. As a bruja (witch), share daily musings and perspective shifts, and discuss my love of film
Beyond this, you might be asking yourself, what is your real mission? What is the purpose behind how you move through the world? What are your deepest wishes and vision? Why do you do what you do? What do you think about every day? Why death???
My origin story is a long one (you can learn more about it here) but in short, I believe that our denial of death is a very real, oftentimes unconscious, denial of life. What we do not know can hurt us, and my greatest wish is for everyone to feel held in the exploration of what it means to be alive. This includes in dealings with mortality, grief, missteps, loss, the afterlife, humanity, ancestral and cultural history, and our individual and collective calling.
I wish for everyone to learn that ancestral connection is not only sacred, but healing. Learning about our roots, our past, the longing (and oftentimes regret) that lives within each of us is important, valuable, and must be illuminated - for the greater good.
I wish for everyone to regard the connection to Self, our intuition, and uncovered gifts as the most high. I wish for everyone to stay curious in the expanding of our minds and reach a new level of comfort & understanding of "the other" or even a complete stranger.
Why? Because this is what will ultimately expose where we are unconscious and raise the collective consciousness. This is where we remember who we are, what we are here to do, and play in the world. This is where we connect to ourselves. This is where we heal.
I wish for everyone to apply the above into their daily lives and use it to better connect to themselves while also being a salve for others. I truly believe that no matter what role you play in life, your participation does influence and can change things for the better. Not just for those who are in your family or close circle, but complete strangers, your siblings across the sea, elders, animals, and the future of this world, our collective legacy: the children and the planet that we leave behind for them to play and grow in.
What are we teaching them through our current actions? Are we leaving this world better than we found it? What have we learned? What have we yet to? How much closer are we to repairing and getting into right relationship with ourselves and each other?
How are our personal and collective legacies intertwined? How are we irrevocably connected? How do we inspire change in one another? How do we forgive ourselves? How can we learn to love more deeply? How can we remember what truly matters & live more fully?
